Days 5-11 – Chilling in our Phuket Villa

Jackson: “The private swimming pool in our villa was great because it was so big that me and my dad could do races and I won the championship of the race. I liked feeding the duck, it was really fun, but I don’t like to eat the ducks. I like swimming in the turtle pool, the turtle spit at you (they are turtle statue / water features). Going on the speed boat was really fun because I got to go in the front and it BUMPED so high that I came out of my seat. I liked going snorkeling, but I kept getting water in my tube, the fist time I saw lots of fish, the second time, not so much.”

Jelly: “I want to go to school! I miss my friends, especially Ethan and Eden.”… “I liked feeding the ducks, because we threw bits of bread at them. I made a new boyfriend, his name is Frederick and he is German”

Anna: “I loved living the good life and spending quality time with my family. We did a boat trip to Phi Phi island, and saw the ‘beach’ from The Beach along with 500 other tourist boats. I will always remember the sunsets, the amazing breakfasts and skinning dipping in our private pool with the family during a tropical storm.”

Joe: “I’ve been super paranoid about bad pool deaths, but still, on our first day Jelly managed to sneak out and try to swim and nearly drowned. Luckily I was saw she was missing straight away and got to her! Now, she has gone from no fear, to needing to always grab hold of Anna or me in when in the pool – typical! But at least since then I can relax! The snorkeling of the little beach island was really good win tons of fish until something bit me (they said it was a sea lion) – I hate the heavily touristic places, but they where very beautiful”

Day 4 – Hong Kong: to Phuket

Joe: “Kids travelled OK, Jelly slept on the plane. The villa is living up to the hype.”

Anna: OMG! I think I died and went to heaven! Joe has taken me to some of the best hotels in the world but this time he has surpassed himself!

Jackson: “I liked swimming in our little pool – it’s a good place to practice my swimming. And now there is a bug in the pool!”

Jelly: “I sneaked out of the room and went in the pool by myself and nearly drowned, but my daddy saved me. Thanks Dad. I liked playing in the flowers in the outside bath and pretending it was a flower shop.”

Day 3 – Hong Kong: Breakfast

Anna: “I’m loving eating coingee (Chinese Porridge) with heaps of chillies and ducks eggs for breakfast. I think we have done really well with the jet leg. We were all in bed by 7pm, Joe and Jackson woke up a 5am and I ‘slept it’ until 6am”

Jackson “I don’t want to say anything. I didn’t’ want you to say that on the computer, dad.

Jelly: “No”

Joe: “HK is really overcast with low visibility. We could still make out the mountains and 100’s of skyscrapers. Still overcast this morning, but forecast to clear up later today.”

Day 1 /2 – Flight from Montreal to Hong Kong

Joe: “On the way to the airport, we drove around Westmount saying goodbye to our old neighborhood. The Toronto to Hong Kong flight was 15 hours. The kids did pretty well and eventually got some sleep. We managed to get one upgrade to a business class flat bed and Anna and I took turns until we got busted sneaking the kids in for the better food.”

Jackson: “Jelly threw up in the Taxi to the hotel” (we had taken off the travel bracelets, they work really well, but only when they are on!)

Jackson: “In Hong Kong, we went to the Hot Tub and out door swimming pool. I practiced some diving moves and with one of them I banged my head and it still hurts.”

Jelly: “I liked the swimming pool”

Anna: “I loved drinking champagne in business class and not having to listen to the kids saying ‘are we there yet?’”

Goodbye messages to Ethan

Jelly: “Bye Ethan, my good friend, I will miss you.”

Jackson: "Ethan, I will miss you so much, I like going on missions with you, so why don’t you come and visit us in Seattle soon.”

Joe: “I guess you are OK to date my daughter, but I’m watching you”

Anna: “Miss you Spiderman!”

To James Price, You have been such a good friend to me. The reason why you are such a good friend of mine is because you are so fun to play with and i always will be your friend. But did you know, I nearly was not you friend, as when I first met you, I was jelious of your freindship with Ella. One day, my day told me, if I made friends with you, then Ella would like me even more. I'm so glad I did, as now I have two great friends in both you and Ella. I will give her a kiss from us both when I see her in Australia. Love Jackson

2 weeks before the big holiday

Note from Jackson "I am starting to feel a little bit sad about leaving Montreal and all my friends. I have started writing little goodbye notes and will post them on here. Today I worked on my Robot, it will shoot people, but not kill them."
